I believe healing happens in relationships where we feel safe enough to be fully human.
My hope is to create a space where you do not have to perform, explain away your pain, or carry everything alone.
Therapy can become a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and gently explore the parts of you that have learned to survive through perfectionism, self-criticism, people-pleasing, or emotional shutdown.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-certified art therapist based in Austin, Texas, and am in Illinois virtually as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I work with adults navigating eating disorders, self-destructive coping patterns, identity struggles, religious trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive, highly self-aware individuals who still feel emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves underneath the surface.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and deeply compassionate. I am trained in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), a modality designed for healing complex trauma and developmental wounds. Together, we explore the protective patterns that once helped you survive while creating space for greater self-understanding and connection.
I also integrate art therapy and creative expression into the therapeutic process when helpful. Creativity can offer access to emotions, experiences, and inner knowing that are sometimes difficult to reach through words alone. You do not need to consider yourself “artistic” to benefit from creative exploration in therapy.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years exploring questions related to identity, meaning, spirituality, and emotional healing in my own life.
Those experiences continue to shape the way I sit with others—with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of being human.
I believe therapy should feel collaborative rather than clinical. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you better understand yourself, heal old wounds, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been hidden, silenced, or neglected along the way.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy convincing my cats to cuddle and keeping them from walking on my current crafting creations (both of which are usually unsuccessful). While I do not enjoy cardio, I will do it so I can keep up with my husband--and take photos while hiking in cool places.
If you’re looking for a therapist who values depth, authenticity, and humor, I would be honored to connect with you.
